The Parthian Empire reaches its farthest extent, stretching from the Euphrates to the Oxus. First Parthian king to have contact with Rome and to use the title 'King of King'.

ミトラダテス3世   Mithradates V Son of MithradatesV. Reign 70-55 BC(co-regent during his father's reign). Fought civil war with his brother, OrodesU. Defeated by most famous Parthian general, Suren, at Seleucia and immediately murdered.
オロデス2世   Orodes U Son of PhraatesV. Reign 57-38 BC. The Roman triumvir Crassus (defeater of Spartacus / richest man in Rome) crosses into Parthia with his army. Orodes II sends an ambassador asking what his intentions are. He says, 'I will give you my answer in Seleucia!' and Orodes replies, 'Hair will grow on my palm before you see Seleucia!' And so on. Suren meets the Roman army at Carrhae and although outnumbered four to one, defeats them. More than half of the Romans are killed. Crassus' head and hand are sent to Orodes in Armenia, where a Greek actor introduces them at the appropriate time during Euripides' Bacchae, using them as props. It is said that molten gold was poured down the throat of Crassus' severed head to mock his great wealth. And how was Suren repaid for his great victory? Orodes had him put to death; probably to make sure he wouldn't get too big for his britches (or perhaps to confiscate his two hundred wagon loads of concubines...)
A few years later, Orodes favorite son and heir, Pacoros I, is killed fighting the Romans. Orodes loses his marbles and picks the worst of his thirty sons to be his successor, Phraates IV, who immediately kills his father, all his brothers and their families.
パコルス1世   Pakoros T Son of OrodesU. Reign 50 BC. Killed in battle.
フラーテス4世   Phraates W Son of OrodesU. Reign 38-2 BC.  Drives Mark Anthony's army out of Parthia. Fights and barely wins civil war against Tiridates. Phraates returns the standards and prisoners lost by Crassus in 53 BC to Rome; Augustus presents him with an Italian slave girl named Musa who worms her way up from concubine to favorite wife to queen and gives birth to Phraataces (little Phraates). She also persuades him to send his other sons to Rome for 'safety'.
ティリダテス   Tiridates Usurper, possibly a general in the war against Mark Anthony. Reign 29 - 27 BC.
フラーテス5世(フラータケス)   Phraates X
(Phraataces)
Son of Phraates IV. Reign 2 BC - 4 AD. Phraataces and his mom, Musa, poison old Phraates IV and then decide to get married. To each other. Even the Parthians are upset by this. I have a feeling mom was preoccupied with the myth of the warrior-queen Semiramis, who supposedly murdered her husband, conquered all of Asia except India, founded Babylon, built the Hanging Gardens and was in turn murdered by her son, and lover, Ninyas. Well, except for the being murdered part...
オロデス3世   Orodes V Reign 6 AD. Placed on the throne by the Parthian nobility, he was soon murdered because of his extreme cruelty.
ヴォノネス1世   Vonones T Oldest son of Phraates IV. Reign 8 - 12 AD. Engineered by Augustus, he is returned from living in exile in Rome to the Parthian throne. He is so 'Romanized' that he doesn't like hunting, feasting or horses and is carried about in a litter. This doesn't sit well with most Parthians and he flees to Armenia. Murdered in 19 AD.
アルタバヌス2世   Artabanos U Reign 10 - 38 AD. Originally king of Media Atropatene. Spent most of his reign fighting civil wars. At one point after being forced off the throne (Tiberius picked a grandson of Phraates IV to install), Artabanos had to live with the tribesmen east of the Caspian Sea, clad in rags and eating only what he could catch. This is a few years after Jesus is put to death. Artabanos raised an army among the Dahae and, wearing his rags for effect, recaptured the empire. To celebrate, Herod Antipas of Judaea throws a big party and invites the Romans, too. Artabanos is so happy he gives the Romans a seven cubit high Jewish giant as a present. He is shortly deposed again, his flair for the dramatic probably wearing very thin.
ヴァルダネス1世   Vardanes T Son of Artabanos II. Reign 40 - 45 AD. Civil war. Murdered in 45 AD during a hunt.

ヴォロガセス2世   Vologases U Reign 77 - 80 AD. Joint king in Mesopotamia (with Artabanos III).
パコルス2世   Pakoros U Brother of Vologases I. Reign 78 - 105 AD. King of Iran.
アルタバヌス3世   Artabanos V Reign 80 - 90 AD. Joint king in Mesopotamia (with Vologases II).
ヴォロガセス3世   Vologases V Background unknown. Reign 105 - 147 AD. Fought against Kushans and Alani.
オスロエス1世   Osroes T Brother of Pacorus II. Reign 109 - 129 AD. Invasion of Trajan. Osroes' daughter and golden throne taken by Romans. Seems to have been deposed by Vologases III.
パルタマスパテス   Parthamaspates Great-nephew of Osroes I and Roman puppet king. Reign 116 AD. Kicked out when Hadrian abandons the territory taken by Trajan.
ミトラダテス4世   Mithradates W Reign 140 AD. Usurper in Iran.
Uncertain King Reign 140 AD. Usurper?
